1. Voting is free of charge. Please fill out the Voter registration form click here
2. A registration confirmation notification will be sent to your registered email along with a confirmation link, once your completed registration form is successfully submitted.
3. Click the confirmation link or copy and paste to your browser to confirm your registration. Once confirmed, an account to participate in the photo contest will be automatically generated for you with a username and password sent to your email.
4. Log in to “The Sacred Spirit of Bali” Blue Karma Photo Contest’ s website using your user name and password
5. Click “Photos” to explore photo selection from all contestants
6. Select one of your most favorite photos and click the “Vote” button. As you will be entitled to three votes in three different categories only throughout the contest, please take your time to explore all the photos in each category and make sure to vote your three most favorite photos.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Sacred Spirit of Bali Photo Contest 2020 is organized by Blue Karma

Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before proceeding your participation.

Blue Karma has the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and without notice.

Blue Karma reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or delay this contest. Participation in this contest shall constitute acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions

A. Eligibility

1. The Sacred Spirit of Bali Photo Contest is open for professional and amateur photographers from Indonesian and all over the world
2. Participation in the contest is free of charge
3. The following persons are not eligible to participate in this competition: (a) employees of Blue Karma Group (Blue Karma Hotel Seminyak, Blue Karma Hotel Ubud, Blue Karma Villas Umalas and Blue Karma Oracle Yacht) and individuals connected with any company involved in the competition, including for the avoidance of doubt employees, and the competition’s partners and members of the immediate family of the persons stated above and (b) any persons who are prohibited under the laws of their country of residency or domicile to participate in this competition

B. Competition Period

The Contest will last for a duration of 7 (seven) weeks starting at 00:00 hrs (GMT+7) on 22nd October 2020 and will end at 23:59 hrs (GMT+7) on 31th January 20201

C. Rules and Regulations

1. Competition participation will last for a duration of 6 (six) weeks starting at 00:00 hrs (GMT+7) on the 22nd of October 2020 and will end at 23:59 hrs (GMT+7) on the 31th of January 2021.
2. The submitted photos are digital files with the longest side of at least 1024 pixels and a minimum resolution of 300 dpi in JPG format.
3. The photograph should be in line with the photo contest theme “The Sacred Spirit of Bali” which can be anything about Bali not limited to environment, community, economy, nature, tradition, ceremony and others related to Bali.
4. Photos that have been registered must be uploaded to your personal Instagram account, with the following condition:

   – Tag and mention @bluekarmasecrets

   – Provide interesting caption to describe photos

   – Include these hashtags :

   #bluekarma #bluekarmaphotocontest #bluekarmathesacredofbali

5. The registered photographs are the original works of the participants, not the results of digital manipulation nor reproduction.
6. Photographs do not contain signatures, logos and all types of watermarks.
7. Judgment criteria will comprise Photography Techniques and Theme “The Sacred Spirit of Bali”.
8. The decision of the judges is absolute and cannot be objected.
9. Blue Karma has the right to sell all the 36 selected best photos until unlimited period of time. A credit title will be given to each photographer by mentioning photographer’s name on each photo we sell.
10. Blue Karma will create an art book featuring the 36 selected best photos with photographer’s name will be mentioned in each photo.
11. Blue Karma has the right to use all the selected 36 photos to be featured on “The Sacred Spirit of Bali” Blue Karma art book both ebook form and printed version and sell it until unlimited period of time
12. This photo contest is organized for the purpose of good causes, all benefits from this photo contest will go to two great causes; “SOLEMEN”, a non-profit foundation with the mission to support the disadvantaged in Bali, Indonesia and to “PLASTIC EXCHANGE BALI” a project run to Empower Balinese people to prosper through a barter program that provides sustenance in exchange for collecting plastic waste

D. Prize

1. First Honour: Thirty six (36) photos with the highest points, voted on by the public, will be featured in an art book “ The Sacred Spirit of Bali ” with the profile of each artist on their photo.
2. Personal Reward: The jury will pick 3 winners from the 36 best photos to win prizes. The prizes are as follows:

   1st Place : 3 nights stay at Blue Karma, choice of Blue Karma Ubud or Blue Karma Seminyak + a voucher of 1.000.000 IDR to be redeemed at Pondok Lensa, a shop located in Bali dedicated to photo and video gear rental + a copy of the photo contest art book “The Sacred Spirit of Bali”

   2nd Place : A voucher to 1.000.000 IDR to be redeemed at Pondok Lensa + the photography book of David Metcalf + a copy of the photo contest art book “The Sacred Spirit of Bali”

   3rd Place : A copy of the photo contest art book “The Sacred Spirit of Bali” + a voucher of 500.000 IDR to be redeemed at Pondok Lensa

3. Prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable for cash or other benefits-in-kind. Blue Karma reserves the right to replace any prize with another prize of similar value.
4. All winners must post their experiences during and after redeeming the voucher on their social media channels and tag the following ID accounts: @bluekarmasecrets and @bluekarmaubud or @bluekarmaseminyak depending the hotel location of the stay

E. Winner Notification: Confirmation of Eligibility

1. Winners will be announced on 12th of December 2020 and the winners will also be notified by Blue Karma photo contest team in person or by phone, email and/ or mail.
2. The winners are subjected to meet all eligibility requirements and are expected to be in full compliance with the Terms and Conditions and additional conditions that Blue Karma may consider in its sole and absolute discretion.
3. Blue Karma’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.
4. The winner will be given 7 Days to respond the notification stating he/she has won the competition. If the winner does not respond within the given time frame, he/she will automatically forfeit his/her prize and the prize will be given to one of the runner ups.
5. If a winner cannot be reached after two (2) attempts within seven (7) days after the competition ends, he/she will be found to be ineligible by Blue Karma. In addition, if for any reason the Winner cannot or does not comply with these Competition Terms and Conditions, or if any prize or prize notification sent to a Winner is returned as undeliverable, he/she may be disqualified and an alternative potential Winner may be designated at Blue Karma’s sole and absolute discretion. If any potential Winner is found to be ineligible, or if such potential Winner has not complied with these Competition Terms and Conditions, at any time during or after the competition, such potential Winner may be disqualified from the competition.

F. Other Condition

1. Blue Karma not and shall not be held responsible for any delay, error or any other problems in the operation of this Competition caused by or arising from breakdown, technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online-systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail on account of technical problems and/or traffic congestion on the Internet and/or at any web site or the telecommunication service or a combination thereof, including injury or damage to any participants or to any other person’s computer or mobile phone related to and/or resulting from participating or uploading materials in or in connection with this Competition.
2. In no event will Blue Karma and their respective their respective officers, directors, employees, members, shareholders, attorneys, representative and agents (collectively, “Affiliates”), be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of any the participants’ acceptance of the prizes, the use of the prizes, their entry into this Competition, or their participation in any prize related activity. By entering into this contest, participants hereby release and agree to hold harmless Blue Karma and its Affiliates from and against any and all rights, demands, claims, causes of action, losses, damages, costs and expenses (collectively “Liabilities”) whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise, whether in whole or in part, and whether directly or indirectly
3. Hotel accommodation awarded for the first winner is subject to terms and conditions.
4. Blue Karma and/or its Affiliates will not be responsible or liable for any Liabilities incurred or suffered by any participant or his or her authorized representatives resulting from their participation in this contest or fulfillment of any prize.
5. The cost of, and arrangements for, any further travel aside from the official prize of the contest are the sole responsibility of the winner. Blue Karma will not cover costs for travels and other cost unrelated to the prize of the contest, including visa fee.
6. Blue Karma will not be held responsible for physical prizes that may be lost or damaged in postal transit.
7. This Contest and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Indonesia without regard to the conflict of laws. Each participant irrevocably submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Indonesia courts
